An international partner meeting of the VALUES – Virtues and Leadership Unlocked through Engaging Sport project was held in Novi Sad, Serbia, from October 9 to 11, 2026. The project brings together organizations from several European countries with the aim of strengthening the educational and social role of sport and promoting positive values through sporting activities.
The meeting brought together representatives of partner organizations from four countries: Physical Activity and Sports Tech for Healthy Lifestyles (PASTECHL) from Montenegro, represented by Prof. Dr. Stevo Popović and MSc. Miodrag Zarubica; Sportski klub Volley (SK VOLLEY) from Serbia, represented by Vasa Milić and Andrija Gerić; Institut Impact from Slovenia, represented by Mojca Marković and Polona Fonda; and Širvintų sporto klubas from Lithuania, represented by Ugnė Chmeliauskaitė and Karolis Varna.
During the three-day meeting, project partners reviewed the progress achieved in project implementation, exchanged experiences, and agreed on upcoming activities aimed at developing innovative educational resources and practical tools for promoting positive values through sport.
Particular attention was devoted to the development of the Sport for Values Quality Mark framework, including its evaluation, translation, and pilot testing. Partners also discussed the development of interactive educational materials, educational videos, and an e-learning platform intended for coaches, sports clubs, and other stakeholders in sport and education.
A significant part of the meeting focused on planning upcoming international and national events, including workshops for coaches and sports club managers, promotional events in Slovenia, Serbia, and Lithuania, as well as an international conference in Montenegro, which PASTECHL has taken responsibility for organizing. The planned conference will provide an opportunity to present the results of the VALUES project, exchange knowledge and experiences, and connect researchers, sports professionals, coaches, and representatives of organizations working in sport, education, and social development.
In the final part of the meeting, partners discussed communication and dissemination activities related to project results and defined priorities and an action plan for the upcoming implementation period. The meeting further contributed to strengthening cooperation among partner organizations and coordinating joint activities aimed at the long-term application of project results.
