Panel Discussion: Development of Sports for Children and Youth in Podgorica

One of the central events of PASTECHL Podgorica 2025 will be the panel discussion “Development of Sports for Children and Youth in Podgorica: Challenges and Opportunities for Financing.” The session will bring together leading figures from sports and academia to address key issues for the future of youth and children’s sports in Montenegro and the region.

Panelists include Igor Tomić (President of the Paralympic Committee of Montenegro), Vlado Šćepanović (renowned basketball player and camp organizer), Prof. Dr. Jovan Gardašević (Dean of the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education, University of Montenegro), and Prof. Dr. Edin Užičanin (Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, University of Tuzla). The discussion will be moderated by Prof. Dr. Stevo Popović, President of PASTECHL Podgorica 2025.

The debate will focus on accessibility of sports for children and youth, sustainable financing models, inclusion of young people with disabilities, and the role of elite athletes in motivating new generations. By fostering dialogue between institutions, academia, and practitioners, the panel aims to identify concrete solutions that will improve health, social inclusion, and quality of life for future generations.
