On May 5, 2026, PASTECHL successfully organized the USSI Demo Day at the “Slobodan Škerović” Gymnasium in Podgorica, as part of the “Universal Sports for Social Impact (USSI)” project.
The event gathered students, teachers, and representatives of sports organizations with the aim of promoting positive values through sport. Through a series of sports activities and presentations, participants had the opportunity to explore adapted SAM methodologies, which combine various sport principles with a focus on discipline, respect, teamwork, and inclusion.
The event was officially opened by Prof. Dr. Stevo Popović, who welcomed participants and emphasized the importance of integrating sport into youth development and education.
During the Demo Day, key SAM modules were presented by:
- Miodrag Zarubica, who introduced the “Sports Birthday” module
- Žarko Markuš, who presented the “Family Training” module
- Mirjana Vujošević, who showcased the “Summer Day Camp” module
The program also included a practical demonstration of SAM methodologies in the sports hall, allowing participants to directly experience innovative approaches in working with youth through sport.
The USSI project, jointly co-funded by the Erasmus+ Sport programme and the Ministry of Regional Investment Development and Cooperation with NGOs, aims to strengthen the capacities of sports organizations and educators, while encouraging young people to actively engage in sport. Special emphasis is placed on social inclusion and the development of personal and social values through physical activity.
The Demo Day served as an important opportunity for PASTECHL to present project results and demonstrate the practical application of SAM methodologies within the local community. The event was held in a positive and dynamic atmosphere, attracting significant interest from young participants and further highlighting the role of sport in promoting healthy lifestyles and universal values.
