During the PASTECHL Bar 2026 Conference, held in Bar, Montenegro, from April 23 to 26, 2026, the Erasmus+ Sport project LearningArena – Transforming Stadiums into Educational Hubs for Youth Empowerment and Social Inclusion was officially presented. The project was introduced by Dr. Novica Gardasevic within a special session dedicated to international projects and initiatives in the fields of sport, education, and social inclusion.
LearningArena is an international Erasmus+ Sport project focused on transforming sports stadiums into innovative non-formal learning environments that promote youth engagement, social inclusion, civic responsibility, and educational development through sport. The project primarily targets young people in the Western Balkans, particularly in Albania, Kosovo, and Montenegro.
A key aspect of the project is the development of structured educational activities implemented within stadium environments, combining sport, identity, fair play, inclusion, and digital literacy. Project activities include the development of educational packages, training programs for youth coaches and educators, implementation of interactive workshops, and engagement of young participants in sport-based educational initiatives.
The project aims to strengthen the capacities of grassroots sport organizations and youth workers while encouraging active participation, intercultural dialogue, and social cohesion among young people. Through innovative approaches and cooperation between partner organizations, LearningArena promotes the educational role of sport and the importance of inclusive community spaces.
Project outlines and short biographies of the presenters can be found in the Book of Abstracts available at the following link.
