Within the framework of the CEEPUS programme (Central European Exchange Programme for University Studies), a teaching mobility was carried out at the University of Pécs, Hungary, from October 4 to 9, 2026, focusing on contemporary applications of artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and innovative approaches in sport and recreation. In addition to teaching activities, the programme included institutional meetings and a professional visit to the Bebcoo Sport, Health and Recreation Center.
The activities involved Prof. Dr. Stevo Popović and MSc. Miodrag Zarubica from the University of Montenegro, and Prof. Dr. Radenko Matić from the University of Novi Sad, all of whom are actively engaged in Physical Activity and Sports Tech for Healthy Lifestyles (PASTECHL). The mobility took place at the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Pécs, within the Institute of Physiotherapy and Sports Sciences, through the CEEPUS network and hosted by Prof. Dr. David Paar.
The central part of the teaching activities consisted of a series of lectures on artificial intelligence in sport and recreation, as well as sports tourism. The lectures addressed emerging technological developments, their practical applications, and opportunities for innovation in sport-related sectors.
During their stay in Pécs, PASTECHL representatives also met with the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Prof. Dr. Pongrác Ács, and his team to discuss ongoing activities, exchange experiences, and explore opportunities for further institutional and research cooperation. The representatives also visited the Bebcoo Sport, Health and Recreation Center, a modern facility offering innovative solutions, including TOCA, Padel, Padbol, IMBODY AI Fitness, and VISBODY. Their host, Mr. Ferenc Boday, introduced the center’s services and highlighted VISBODY’s body composition and anthropometric measurement technology, as well as KUAFU, the healthcare AI specifically developed by VISBODY. In addition to providing objective data to professionals, including physicians and physiotherapists, KUAFU generates a comprehensive health report based on the measured data, then uses these data to provide a personalized exercise therapy program and supporting dietary recommendations. This can help make targeted therapy and exercise truly personalized and effective. Ongoing reassessment is also crucial, enabling professionals to monitor changes as therapy progresses. He further emphasized that, thanks to the collaboration and co-branding between VISBODY and IMBODY, body composition and anthropometric data measured by VISBODY devices automatically appear in the IMBODY Power S Pro force platform. IMBODY also has an AI-supported program that generates personalized exercise therapy plans. The visit provided valuable insights into the application of advanced technologies in sport, recreation, and physical activity promotion, highlighting the importance of connecting scientific knowledge, technological development, and professional practice.
The teaching mobility contributed to strengthening academic and institutional cooperation among the University of Montenegro, the University of Novi Sad, and the University of Pécs. Particular emphasis was placed on shared research interests in sports science, digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and the promotion of healthy lifestyles.
The completed mobility represents another step towards connecting academic education, scientific research, and the practical application of innovative technologies in sport and health. It also highlights the importance of the CEEPUS programme in fostering regional academic cooperation and creating opportunities for future joint educational and research initiatives.
