Shaping the Future of Physical Activity Research: Dr. Jarani and Dr. Popovic to Lead International Collection

We are proud to share that Dr. Jarani and Dr. Popovic have been invited by Springer Nature to serve as Guest Editors for the forthcoming Collection,

Physical activity and fitness in the 21st century: trends, technologies, and public health solutions.

This Collection will bring together leading scholars and practitioners from around the world to examine how physical activity and fitness are evolving in modern society. It will highlight new technologies, innovative approaches, and effective public health solutions that can improve lives and shape healthier communities.

As Guest Editors, Dr. Jarani and Dr. Popovic will guide the academic conversation, ensuring high standards of research quality, ethical integrity, and broad international relevance. They will also collaborate closely with Springer Nature’s editorial team — including Dr. Ben Cranfield (Journal Editor), Marcus Hijkoop (Managing Editor), and John White (Commissioning Editor) — to make this Collection a valuable contribution to the global research community.

Importantly, full-length papers presented at the PASTECHL Podgorica 2025 Conference are invited to be submitted for publication in this Collection, providing participants with an excellent opportunity to share their work with a wider international audience.

This invitation reflects not only their expertise but also the growing recognition of PASTECHL’s role in advancing research and innovation in physical activity and public health.

We warmly congratulate Dr. Jarani and Dr. Popovic on this achievement and look forward to the insights and impact this Collection will bring.
