This innovative competition introduces Phygital Basketball, a hybrid discipline that merges the digital and physical worlds into one thrilling contest.
The format offers a completely new twist on the game: teams first compete in NBA2K (2v2) up to 19 points, before immediately stepping onto the court for a real 2v2 basketball match, where the score carries over from the virtual game. Play continues until one side reaches 39 points or the seven-minute mark, demanding both sharp gaming reflexes and on-court athleticism.
The Phygital Tournament is part of the international PASTECHL Podgorica 2025 conference, dedicated to innovation in technology, sports, and health, and also joins the program of the FUNK Festival at the University of Montenegro.
