As part of the international conference PASTECHL Podgorica 2025, the Adaptation Workshop was held on October 17, 2025, at the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro. The event was organized within the framework of Work Package 2 – Adaptation Framework, as part of the Erasmus+ project USSI – University Sport and Social Inclusion. The workshop was conducted in collaboration with project partners from Albania and Kosovo and represented the deliverable D2.3 of the project.
The goal of the workshop was to present and discuss models of sports activities and educational programs that will be adapted to various target groups within the USSI project. During the session, national analyses and proposals for the implementation of SAM (Sport and Activity Models) from the three partner countries were presented.
The representative from Albania, Prof. Dr. Juel Jarani from the Association of Sports Science of Albania (ASSA), focused on ethical aspects and evaluation instruments for the selection and assessment of SAM models. The representative from Kosovo, Prof. Dr. Artan Kryeziu from the Center for Research, Studies, Physical Education, Sport and Health (CRSPES), shared examples of good practices in working with children and youth with fewer opportunities, through programs such as sports camps and family training. The Montenegrin representative, Prof. Dr. Stevo Popović, presented the process of selection and evaluation of proposed models, highlighting “Summer Day Camp,” “Family Training,” and “Sporty Birthday” as the most suitable for further implementation.
The workshop was highly interactive, with participants (both in-person and online) engaging in discussion and collaborative work to define recommendations for adapting the selected models in accordance with national contexts. This event represents an important step in preparing the next phase of the project, which will focus on the pilot implementation and evaluation of sports programs in the partner countries.
The Faculty of Sport and Physical Education, University of Montenegro, in cooperation with its project partner PASTECHL, continues to actively contribute to international initiatives aimed at promoting social inclusion through sport, fostering knowledge exchange, and improving the practice of physical education and sports education.
