Representatives of PASTECHL participated in the Kick-Off Meeting of the Learning Arena project, which was held in Krakow, Poland, bringing together project partners from several European countries (Poland, Italy, Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro) to officially launch the implementation of this innovative initiative.
Learning Arena is an international project focused on transforming football stadiums and sports venues into inspiring learning environments for school-aged children. The project seeks to bridge the fields of education and sport by creating educational programmes and experiences that use the unique atmosphere of stadiums to promote learning, personal development, social inclusion, and active citizenship among young people.
During the meeting which was held on 27 and 28 May 2026, project partners (Towarzystwo Sportowe Iron Man, L’ORMA SSD ARL, ASSA – Albanian Sports Science Association, CRSPES – Center for Research and Studies in Physical Education, Sport and Health, and PASTECHL – Physical Activity and Sports Tech for Healthy Lifestyles) discussed the overall project framework, planned activities, expected outcomes, and implementation timeline. Special attention was dedicated to the development of educational methodologies, cooperation with schools and football clubs, as well as strategies for ensuring the long-term sustainability of project results beyond the funding period. The consortium shares a common vision of creating innovative educational opportunities that extend learning beyond traditional classroom settings. By connecting schools, sports organizations, stadium operators, and local communities, Learning Arena aims to establish a sustainable model that can continue to benefit young people long after the project activities are completed.
The Kick-Off Meeting also provided an opportunity for partners to exchange experiences, strengthen collaboration, and define the first steps towards achieving the project objectives.
