Gang He is the Dean of School of Kinesiology and Health at the Capital University of Physical Education and Sports. He received his doctoral degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and did his postdoctoral research in the Institute for Physical Activity and Nutrition of Deakin University. His research areas include assessment of built environment related to health behaviors, correlates of children’s physical activity and sedentary behaviors, and promotion of physical fitness & health among youth and other populations. He is the PIs of National Key R&D Plan Project, Key Projects of the National Social Science Foundation, and co-PI of Fourth Session of the China-Montenegro Science and Technology Cooperation Committee Exchange Projects funded by the governments of China and Montenegro. The total research grants exceed ¥2,800,000. He has won the Endeavour Australia Cheung Kong Research Fellowships in 2014 and Third Prize of Science and Technology Award of China Sports Science Society in 2021. His academic services include the standing committee member of the Sports Health and Rehabilitation Committee of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, the standing committee member of the Sports Rehabilitation Branch of the Chinese Society of Sports Science, and the director of the Sports-Medicine Integration for Student Health Branch of the China Association for Student Nutrition and Health Promotion.
