Ling Yan holds a Ph.D. in Education and currently serves as an Associate Professor and Master’s Supervisor at the Capital University of Physical Education and Sports in Beijing, China. She teaches a range of courses including Pedagogy, General Psychology, Educational Psychology, Sport Psychology, and Mental Health for College Students. Her research interests focus on youth health promotion, teacher professional development, and school governance. She earned her doctoral degree from Beijing Normal University in 2012 and studied at Michigan State University in the United States in 2014. Over the past decade, she has led multiple national and municipal research projects, including grants funded by the Ministry of Education of China, Beijing Social Science Foundation, and Beijing Talent Development Program. Her publications span dozens of academic papers in the fields of youth physical and mental health, teacher well-being, and educational reform. She has been actively involved in educational outreach, especially in rural and under-resourced regions in western China. She provides training and support to physical education teachers as a volunteer lecturer, contributing to more equitable development in basic education. Additionally, she has participated in key research projects supported by China’s General Administration of Sport, promoting national fitness and public health initiatives.
