Three Methodologies Selected Under the USSI Project in Montenegro

As part of the USSI project, partner organizations in Montenegro have completed the process of evaluating and selecting the most relevant training methodologies from the Sport Academy Methodology (SAM) framework. The aim was to ensure that chosen modules reflect the country’s local needs, capacities, and priorities in promoting inclusive and innovative sports practices.

The survey engaged 12 organizations, including schools, sports clubs, NGOs, and federations. Respondents assessed 14 SAM modules against ten criteria, such as relevance to the local context, feasibility, social impact, cost-effectiveness, and pedagogical innovation.

Following the analysis, three methodologies were identified as the most suitable for implementation in Montenegro:

Summer Day Camp – a structured camp model offering judo-based and multi-activity experiences that promote both physical and social development for children aged 4–14.

Family Training – a family-oriented program where parents and children train together, fostering stronger bonds while including children with ADHD, autism, and sensory challenges.

Sporty Birthday – Fun, Movement, Friendship – an innovative celebration concept that transforms birthdays into active, playful, and community-building experiences.

These selected modules embody the USSI project’s mission to promote social inclusion, community engagement, and holistic development through sport. They also highlight the adaptability of the SAM methodology to local contexts, offering practical and sustainable solutions for grassroots organizations.

The next stage will focus on pilot implementation of the selected modules in Montenegro, accompanied by capacity-building for coaches and facilitators, as well as continuous feedback collection to refine and strengthen their impact.
